This quilt top has 864 squares that create a design through their color value–their darkness or lightness, so to speak. The success of the design depends less on having fancy new fabric and more on choosing light and dark values, so…. it’s a great option for old scraps!
Impressionist art? This piece is best viewed by standing back several feet. Up close you notice old fabric; far away you see the diamond design.
