Auberon’s Stacked Blocks

Here’s another group project that turned out charmingly well. Several quilters from my church quilting group joined forces to make stacked blocks. I got the idea from Erica Jackman’s blog Kitchen Table Quilting. The idea is to make the blocks, cut them into quarters, and then rearrange them to look like they’ve been stacked. We decided the stacked effect might be more obvious on a larger quilt, but we’re still delighted with the result.

For a quilting pattern, I repeated several different border designs.
